Both wire mesh manufacturers and floor heating steel mesh manufacturers are involved in a special type of mesh product - steel welded mesh. This kind of mesh is composed of longitudinal and transverse steel bars arranged at specific intervals and welded at all the intersection points, thus forming a firm mesh structure. In addition, it has many other names, such as welded steel mesh, steel bar welded mesh, etc.
◆ Materials and Manufacturing standards
According to the technical regulations for steel mesh, this type of mesh should be welded with CRB550 grade cold-rolled ribbed steel bars or cold-drawn smooth steel bars. Each welded mesh should be made of the same type of steel bars to ensure consistent quality.
◆ Characteristics of standardized Welded mesh Sheet
Welded mesh can be divided into two types: fixed and customized. The spacing and diameter of the reinforcing bars in the two directions of the standardized welded mesh may vary, but the reinforcing bars in the same direction must have the same diameter, spacing and length. These standards have been clearly stipulated in the relevant specifications.
◆ Characteristics of Customized Welded mesh
The shape and size of custom-welded mesh are more flexible and can be tailored to the design and construction requirements. In addition, the diameter of the reinforcing bars in welded mesh is usually within the range of 4 to 14mm, and a progressive diameter of 0.5mm can be adopted. For the convenience of transportation, the length of welded mesh generally does not exceed 12 meters and the width does not exceed 2.5 meters. During the manufacturing process, the spacing of the reinforcing bars (or longitudinal bars) in one direction is usually 100, 150, or 200mm, while the spacing of the reinforcing bars in the other direction may be 100, 150, 200, 300mm, or even up to 400mm, to meet different usage requirements.
